Project Overview

Who is SHAN? SHAN is an internationally renowned Canadian haute couture company that designs, manufactures and sells ready-to-wear garments, swimwear and resort wear around the globe. The “Made in Canada” authenticity of SHAN’s products distinguishes them from the competition and through technical know-how, impeccable handcrafting and attention to detail, the House of SHAN creates innovative, high-quality and critically acclaimed garments.

Our collaboration with SHAN dates back to August 2017, when we were commissioned to improve and maintain their first ecommerce platform on Magento 1. After two years of countless modifications and technical support on an unstable ecommerce site, embracing a redesign was the only viable solution to support the objectives and vision of the management team. We were able to kill two birds with one stone by migrating their ecommerce site from Magento 1 to Magento 2: in addition to completely overhauling the user experience and the design of the site, we became better equipped to boost the online influence of the business.

Our approach

This project was definitely a textbook case for TWO DEV, allowing us to cement our expertise and showcase our knowledge when it comes to ecommerce. As usual, we conducted a thorough strategic phase with SHAN to understand their niche, their aims and their needs. We then put all our skills to work in a timely manner to build a solid, stable platform with a superb design.


UX/UI Design

Based on SHAN's vision and art direction, our design team crafted a chic, superbly functional desktop/mobile user experience, including clear navigation, beautiful landing pages and a lightning-fast purchase funnel. This completely new design allowed SHAN to finally reconcile the elegance of their products with their online platform.


Magento development

After inheriting and maintaining an unstable platform for several years, the replatforming from Magento 1 to Magento 2 was a particularly rewarding achievement. It gave us the opportunity to fully showcase our ecommerce skills, while raising SHAN’s online presence to another level. In addition, this approach has cemented our close collaboration with the brand.
